General Information:
Dear Dancers:
Dance Outings for the St. John's Dance Group (as your schedule
allows you to participate) will be the first Friday dances at the
Rock Hill American Legion, the second and fourth Friday dances at
Zodiac, We have scheduled a dance outing to Hickory Grove to
dance to the Hudson Family Band and to Gastonia to Steve and Linda's
Country Dance.
Dance Outings:
First & Third Fridays at Rock Hill American Legion:
7 p.m., American Legion, Cherry Road, Rock Hill
Admission: $5 a person
Music by DJ, Jerry Robinson, who plays a variety of Swing, Shag,
Slow, Oldies and Line Dancing. Park in the rear of the building,
across from District
3 Stadium, and enter through the middle door. Dance held in the Gold
Room.
Drinks, both soft and hard, can be purchased at the bar.

GRAND CENTRAL EVENT - 2nd MONDAY Each Month
Bill Hanna's Vintage Dance Band at Grand Central Events A smoke free location (with a separate cigar room for those who must smoke) Remember the old Swing 1000? This is the same place, just a different name. Grand Central will be hosting dancing on the 2nd Monday each month with this fabulous band led by Bill Hanna. The band is stocked with seasoned professionals like Dr. John Harding and talented college musicians. Enjoy dancing to the sound of 5 saxes, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets and lots more. There will be alcohol, soda and a light menu available for purchase at this event.
You can come even if you aren't 21 but can't purchase or consume alcohol.

8 PM-11 PM Band plays
$10 Cover (This price has been dropped from $20 so please support the venue with purchases of food and drink when you come) Dress code is dressy casual for dancers. Please no jeans, T-shirts or shabby shoes.

ROCK HILL SHAG CLUBMonthly DJ dances on the 3rd Saturday at "Celebrations" inside Motel 6, Just off of North Cherry Road at I-77 Bridge.

Located at the junction of Hwy 160 and Hwy 521 [Johnson Road}
Indian Land, at the Carolina Bistro Bar and Grill. Free line dance
lessons beginning at 6:30 until 7:30 p.m., then shag lessons from
7:30 until 8:30 p.m. Instructor for advance shag steps available for
fee. Open dance floor from 8:30 p.m.
until. Dance party on the First Saturday of the month beginning at
7:30
p.m. The Bistro does have live Bands on some Friday nights, The
Tams, The Band of Gold, The Fantastic Shakers.
LAKE WYLIE SHAG CLUB
- HIGHWAY 160 WEST TOWARD TEGA CAY Meets at Checkers on
Tuesdays. Line dance lessons from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m., Shag lessons
from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., no charges for lessons. Beverages of all
kinds are sold. The floor is open for dancing at 8:30 until about
10:00 p.m. Dance parties are the second and fourth Saturdays
beginning at 7:30 p.m. The club has a party the 2nd and fourth
Saturdays beginning at about 7:30.
